Join the Blue Mountains Radio Players on Friday 24 April from 10:30am to 12:00pm for a special half-hour performance of a new modern play by local writer Colin Semmler. Based in Katoomba and known for their monthly shows at the Carrington Hotel, the Radio Players bring classic storytelling to life. After the performance, Colin will share fascinating insights into the history of radio plays and the inspiration behind his work - family history and rediscovering lost connections.

Secret Lives of Bees

Fly into the world of bees on Friday 29 May from 10:30am to 12:00pm and learn all things beekeeping. We’ll bee talking with local home beekeeper Stephen about the joys and environmental benefits of backyard hives. We’re also welcoming the team from Blue Mountains Honey, a family-run business with over 40 years of history producing quality Australian honey and honey based products. Learn about their vision for the future, building a space that celebrates good food, community and regional produce. Plus, Blue Mountains Honey will have a stall on the day, so you can sample and purchase delicious local products. Bring along your best bee joke, there’ll be a prize for the one that creates the biggest buzz.
