You may have heard that the Great Western Highway is currently closed beyond Mt Victoria. While this has changed the usual route, we want to reassure you, visiting Treeview Estates is still simple and well worth the journey.

In fact, the alternative route via the Darling Causeway offers something a little unexpected: a chance to slow down and enjoy one of the Blue Mountains’ most scenic drives.

As you wind your way through natural bushland, you’ll be surrounded by tall eucalypts, open skies, and the quiet beauty that makes this region so unique. Along the way, you’ll pass the much-loved Zig Zag Railway. This local landmark is rich in history and charm, adding a sense of nostalgia to your journey.

The detour is clearly signposted and typically adds just 10–15 minutes to your trip. Many of our visitors have found it to be a peaceful and enjoyable drive that sets the tone for what awaits at Treeview.
